Some random questions
I just have some random questions. First how do i make my motorized headlights open only half way. I saw it on Formula D and thought it looked sick. Is there a conversion kit i can buy or just something i can do to the light motors.
Secondly how do i compression test a rotary?
Lastly, does anybody know where i can get a replacement stock crossover for the speakers. Mine has a broken plug and i want to replace it. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot.

I could say search for the lights but I am in a good mood. Pull the light motor switch under the hood and then adjust to your pleasing.
Also you can download the factory Sevrice Manual. It should have the way to do the compression test in it.

Hello, 2cool4pistons - Welcome to the forum. I'll go easy on you since you're a n00b
Be careful with this one, you're likely about to get flamed, so get a nomex suit or thick skin Do a search for "Sleepy Eye Mod" or something related, and you'll find tons of threads, most of them locked because they devolve into a flame fest. Most of the people here hate this "mod" because it severely reduces the already limited 1986 lighting ability. that's all I'll say on this subject.
Do a search for "compression test" here and in the 2nd gen archive. You'll get a detailed writeup. The nuts-and-bolts: Make sure the car is warm and the battery is good and fully charged. Take your thirty dollar compresion tester, and unscrew the valve in the bottom that holds the needle at a certain pressure. screw this TIGHTLY into the lower spark plug hole, and then hold the pedal all the way down ont he floor while your crank. Have a friend watch the guage for the three pulses, and record what number they were. If it's less than 80, you've got problems, if it's greater than 100, you're looking at a good engine. Somewhere in between means you're headed for rebuilds-ville.
If you're talking about the little board in the rear speaker cabinate, that's actually an amplifier. you're better off not even using it with a modern deck, as the newer electronics technology is vastly superior to your 1980s stereo equipment. If you're using it with the stock deck, then I'd suggest heading over to the "For Sale" section on the front page of this forum, you can defiantely find one there for cheap.
Cheers!
