Some quick rebuild part questions.

https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-gen-archive-72/13b-rebuild-parts-lists-395019/

So I was reading this thread earlier and trying to figure out the cheapest way to rebuild my engine without leaving out parts that I need to replace.
I decided that if I buy this kit from Atkins http://www.atkinsrotary.com/store/pr...6&cat=0&page=1
395.00
and then get my apex seals from RA
http://www.rotaryaviation.com/2_mm_apex_seals.htm

That will be all I need to rebuild it without missing any of the things that NEED to be replaced.
Right now I think the coolant seals are the only thing that have actually went bad.

Since I'm a noob and all I figured that I'd ask to make sure I that this doesn't leave anything out. If all goes well I should have enough for the rebuild in a few weeks.

^^Side seals would drive up the price a lot on that kit I'd assume. When I did mine I ordered the gasket set and the basic overhaul kit w/ super seals from Rotary aviation. It came out to be about $650. However, expect to spend much more than this. You will probably need to replace an iron with a GOOD conditioned one. Your oil pump chain may be worn. Vacuum hoses will probably break, you'll need oil and coolant. Renting an engine stand, etc... Do you own one of the rebuild video guides? Haynes Manual? and FSM? I suggest you have all of those and watch/read through the whole procedure ahead of time.

i wholeheartedly disagree with spending big money = a good engine.

corner seals dont wear much, you just have to replace the rubber inside the piece for a 2 piece seal. also side seals do not wear badly either and its a pain in the *** to file new ones to fit correctly.

my suggestion is to get the rotary aviation o-ring kit and classic apex seals.
all the hard parts are (unless damaged) reusable.
