putting it down daily
1. replace fan shroud (as mentioned)
2. keep stock fan w/ working clutch.
nothing will EVER move more air or cool better than the above setup.
Nice rad, though

whats the CFM on the stock fan? an electric fan(s) is only useful if you install it correctly with a fan shroud to out flow the stock fan. its hard to make an electric fan out produce the stock fan without some sort of air control. go save your time and money and spent it else where.

Vintage air 18' efan pulls 3800 cfm which is better than a stock clutch fan. Also there is a guy that races Jaguars in New Hampshire and jags rads are incredibly small for the large cars they have to cool and his fans pull 5000cfm. But last I checked they were very high dollar. But speed costs.

looking at your engine bay looks exactly like mine. Same everything but the BOV and FANSHROUD. trust me, your engine will run alot hotter than you think. i was running at about 230°F when i first ran it w/o the shroud in 25° weather. with the shroud it never went over 200

go with a ford taurus 2 speed efan out of a 3.8ltr, i did this conversion and i have never seen above 185degon my autometer gauge, i got mine at a j-yard for $25 and bought a relay from napa for $47 and it works like a charm and has done so for over 3 years now.
