Solve this Turbo Timer issue...

So I replaced my 1980's HKS Turbo Timer because it didnt count down accurately anymore...it would randomly shut off. So I get a new Type 1 HKS Turbo Timer and connect it back to exactly everything my old one was connected to...

Heres the weird thing...everything works...the only thing weird that happens is when I press my window control all the down and the window stops either fully open or fully closed, the turbo timer turns on and off???

Any reason...its EVERYTIME. I have to open and close my windows without hold the switch without it staying on fully down or fully up...sort of have to tap it so it doest shut off. Its pretty annoying.

Any clues? Ground is fine...its on a harness...the only weird other wire my other one had was a grey wire connected to something. The new one I just connected it to the same thing my old was connected to.

your battery is probably about to crap .. i.e. your using to much voltage up and your battery kicks off and on real quick

weak charging system in the car or the wrong connections for the Turbo timer.

Ah nuts...

I wonder if its all the gauges and system I got.

Im only running 6 gauges, 5 Channel Audisson Amp, TT, and a Escort X50 Detector.

What battery should I run...Optima Yellow or Red? Will this solve it hopefully?

Yeah, when activating my window switch, my volts drop to like 8 or less. When Im cruising, my volt gauge reads about 12-14.

I dont think the alternator is bad? Think a battery change will take care of it?

Charging system... NOT battery- an Alternator.

and you shouldn't buy anything until you get in there and test what the voltage is when the problem is happening.

what are you??? A Mazda dealer tech??? You have to actually test things, not just replace them.
