Question Solution for Heavy Clutch Pressure Plates?

Hey guys,

Background:
I thought this was the best sub-forum to post this question as it is more relevant to FC Turbo owners. I have an FD that has been converted to a push type clutch using FC TII bellhousing and an adapter plate. I'm interested in running an ACT Extreme Pressure Plate, but have read many references to bent clutch forks and broken clutch pivot ball. I am running FC clutch components, including the clutch fork and slave cylinder.

Question:
I've searched for several hours this weekend, and although I did read about FC owners who have reinforced their clutch forks, I'm yet to find anyone offering a strengthened pivot ball. I realize some members have made custom pivots for their own use.

Does the community know of any solution to the problems caused by the heavier clutch pressure plates?

Thanks
T

Is converting to a hydraulic throw out bearing an option?

That's a nice idea, albeit probably an expensive one. I did a quick search this morning. Are there any hydraulic setups that are a direct for for the FC turbo bellhousing?

That said, if there are any reinforced pivot ball units, I would prefer that.

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip.

I sent them a message and will see if it's ready for sale yet.
