Solid Front Diff Mount
Flex is necessary.
Install a new front differential mount, along with a pinion snubber. Problem solved.

It hasent been said yet but its fine to do if you have solid diff and subframe mounts... and it wouldnt be a bad idea to run a bead along the sides where the dif mount mounts to the subframe that seems to be the weak spot... so in conclusion its fine with solid mounts
I used to hear a thump I figured it was the rear diff mount, so when I went to install a "new" one I noticed this. Previous owner welded a long, bent bolt to the mount and then to the subframe. This can't be good...

it also turns out the thumping I was hearing was a bad trans mount. My thump is gone but what about this odd welded bolt?

Running new rear diff mounts (the ones that press into the 'ears') will help reduce the energy transferred to the front diff mount. Running delrin mounts in the ears will reduce it even further.
The only downside is those that have the center camber adjusting link will find it useless since flex is nearly eliminated by the delrin mounts.

meh, the competition mount and snubber is fine for moderate to even highly abused cars, launches and snap traction are what generally kill the subframe mount ears before that gives it up.
I'm interested to see how one of his mounts holds up.
