Solid diff mount(s)

I am looking to replace my diff mounts with something that will not break. Does anyone have pictures of mounts they made/modified?

I could easily climb under the car and figure something out, but I would rather not risk having to take it apart twice. I am changing over to 5-lug w/ 4 pot brakes and stock LSD and this seems like a good time to do this.

Also, I've seen it mentioned that the s5 has reinforced suspension. Does anyone have details of where this was done? I am planning to do some radical weight reduction so this would help to determine what is really important, in case some of it falls outside of the obvious.

By the way, I am starting with an '86 base NA and I am trying to get to *** stomping autox monster.

Note: Being that I am ultra low budget, don't bother to point me to retail products unless there are pictures I can steal the concepts from.

You can buy stock mounts then inject them with whatever you want to make them solid. My friend did it with his Mx6, but I can't remember what he did it with.

Just get a comp front diff mount - it's around $60 from Mazdacomp, and makes a big difference.

Nobody has noticed a difference between there s4 and s5 around the rear end? I've seen quite a few people saying they have had both. Or is the reinforced frame of the s5 a myth?

A decently worded description of someone's race proven solid/welded diff mount should be enough. Of course a picture would be priceless.

Just weld it solid, replace the rubber with metal pieces and weld it very sturdily and voila, no more broken diff mounts.
