Solenoid Valve
Ok,
I tested my solenoid valve near the BAC valve with a multimeter. I got readings, but it would lose continuity if I moved it at all. The wires look almost broken, and the plug is slightly melted(not enough to matter).
My question is...
Should I replace the entire valve, or would I be ok with just fixing the wires?
Thanks for the help!

Thats the air bypass solenoid. Its only used during cold start up. It working in conjunction with the bac, gives you the 3000 rpm startup when the engine is cold. If this item does not work, the startup rpm will be only approx 2300rpm. In that scenario only the bac is feeding the extra air, not the bac plus the air bypass solenoid. Fix it at your leisure, but fix it someday. Get one from the wreck yard for about ten bucks. Does not make the car run faster or slower. Only used for 17 seconds on the startup of a cold engine. Do fix it someday. You don't want to own one of those half *** cars that only a few items work because the fellow didn't have the skill to fix the broken parts.
