yes it is depressing but it wouldn't take much to put it back to its original condition.

but it's like selling a house, if you show it off with weeds growing on the welcome mat it sure doesn't look good to a buyer, he should have put it back to a somewhat clean state...

Not even a complete car, and he is selling it for 250% of what Tony was going to get it for. It wasnt complete there, either.

What he's sellin is an FC shell with a racing tube frammed chassis, a 20B , and a 4wd system...

the tube framed racing chassis and the 4WD system and gearbox are custom PRICEY items....

not worth 50K though..
It might not be worth 50k to me, but it is a piece of racing history.

Guys, this is 100% genuine, I've seen the car myself. The rotary workshop run by the car's owner is ten minutes drive from my house. I'm really disappointed to see this advertised internationally, since the last time I spoke to the owner he said he was definitely going to restore it and race it in NZ.

Yeah it's a pretty average ad, but it's not dodgy or misleading. It quite clearly states that it's been repainted and various bits are missing, and anybody genuinely interested is not going to be bidding on it on the basis of the auction's photo. They would e-mail for more pics just like it says to.

From what I've seen of the car in its original and current states, RE-Amemiya made quite a few changes to it externally. The nose, bonnet, front guards and doors have all been changed or modified, and the turbo, intercooler, exhaust and radiator have all been revised. It would take quite a bit of work to get it back into its original Pikes Peak condition.

Here's some photos of the car in it's earlier 13B PP guise, and how it looks now.

There's a few photos on this page that show it with the later 20B turbo.

oxidization on everything, poor car...

i just lost a lot of respect for Amemiya, putting all of that junk around such a respected piece of rotary history and leaving it to rot.

Kinda intresting that it was a 4 lug back when it was Millens.

But you are right Jason/NZ it would take a lot to bring it back to pikes condition. But imagine the response at SevenStock showing up in that thing!

Look real Mazda tail lights:

Now its just dieing:

Hey Jason, what is the exchange on the dollar right now... he can't really be asking $50K USD.
