It was 55 and not a cloud in the sky yesterday, and it's 30 and snowing. It really had to ******* snow today!!! I'm coming back from school and I'm 3 minutes from my house. I'm coming up to a turn and slowing down. I'm doing about 30 and braking normally and I'm getting ready to drop to 3rd gear. That split second when my clutch is in and I'm downshifting i'm in neutral. The roads are wet. What happens when the roads are wet, you're car is RWD and you're in neutral AND you're turning? Yeah. You spin. So I spin, normally this is a "weeeee" kind of feeling. No. Not when you hop a curb and through utterly **** luck your *** slams dead center into a ******* pole. No pole for 100 feet in either direction. And I have to hit this ******* spot dead center.
Here is the aftermath...

Damn...
Gonna need a new bumper support under the rear (big metal Bar, but it think a good body man will be able to fix the rest of it for a few hundred.

ah, sorry about your car. its like in the 70s here. 60s, maybe 50s at night. looks like its time for a new bumper (and wing if ya really want one). hard to tell what else is easily fixable. good luck with that.

Your car is toataled i bet..flame me if you want to but be realistic, the car's body is one peice back there so replacing panel is out of the question, the frame is probably bent, hitting it in the middle there probably did it in....it is fixable yes......but you need to decide if the frame is worth keeping, I say pull out the motor tranny and ect.... put it in a good bodied rx7, sorry to hear that happened, it's times like this i don't miss the snow at all.

Everyone is always so quick to give cheap quotes but painting the bumper rear section and spoiler will cost $500 alone
bumper- $80-$100 used-
spoiler- $100-$150 used
Rear bodywork- $80+ an hour plus parts and materials
minimum 8hrs body work - $600-$800
Frame check - $80hr minimum 1hr
paint- $500
Realistically you are looking at around $1500-$2000 if you want a quality job that won't look crappy if you have no frame damage.....good luck

good luck dood.....I have a wing and a bumper I can sell you cheap.......I dunno about shipping though. It can get expensive especially for the rear........keep us posted and just go out and get estimates.....don't guess just do it.
you're best off getting the items yourself and taking it to a reputable body shop. "Phils Auto Body" in deer park does good work, my shop has known him for a very long time and we race our BMW's together in SCCA. I'm sure you can find the bumper/wing on the forums.

Yeah I've contacted a few guys already and a friend around here says he knows someone with bumpers. We will see. I'm just want to get the hatch area fixed and the bumper. The wing can wait.
at least the quarters are still intact...the metal where the tail lights mount is very very thin and getting that back into place should be real easy for any body shop. I wish I had some parts for you man since I'm local...

UPDATE!
I pulled everything apart. Doesn't look too bad. I put the bumper in my boiler room and the warmth softened the bumper up and by itself it's back to its original shape! So I won't be needing a new cover! I do need a new internal reinforcement though. It cracked pretty badly. I will put some pics up later tonight.
