Question so...my car continues to run for a couple seconds after i turn ingition off...

I recently hace developed an issue. I had pulled my motor and everything in the engine bay to weld and paint...now after reasssembling everything, My car starts and runs fine. No odd issues.

But when i go to turn the car off, it continues to run for a couple seconds. It keeps running then runs out of fuel since as far as i know, my going to off atleast kills the fuel.

However. I have an efan wired up, and the fan still runs when the keys off up until the motor stalls from fuel lol. Its like th car has power still until then.

as far as wiring goes. Everything is stock and hooked up. I have the efan pulling its postive directly from the main fuse box in the engine bay. Now everything worked fine before i pulled the motor...wheat could i have done wrong? lol Wiring isnt really my strong suit.

Original 87 TurboII. Early 87 if it matters.

Have you tried disconnecting the voltage from the engine fuse box which powers the E-fan? And what fuse are you using for this fan?

Does the car still have an S4 alternator? If so are you using the stock alternator plug which has the B/W wire above the W/B wire or are they somehow reversed.

Have you tried pulling the BTN fuse in the engine fuse box?

Tried unhooking the power from the fan to see if there was a difference. No change.. :/ The power is coming from the Maint fuse. I popped open the side of the box and put a ring terminal on the fans power wire then put it onto the 10mm bolt that hold the fuse in.
Yea still S4. and nope not reversed. The eplug goes only one way anywhoo.

BTN fuse?

BTN fuse. Located in the engine fuse box.
