So my car is a 1987.5?

K, I was looking at how to tell what year your car is. I was sold an "88 Mazda RX-7"... however, it appears that its a 1987.5 : I have no power steering, and no rear locking cargo boxes. So it must be 87.5 right?

Anyway, my question is... what/how exactly is there an 87.5 model? Did it come out like at the end of the 87 line, or something? O.o I'm confused.

Thanks. Hopefully it wasn't in there, but I didnt' see it.

Canadian models don't always follow those guidelines, but the easy way to tell is the production date.

what is the production date on the car?

Double post, apologies >.<

I believe the date said 08/87. After reading Icemark's site, it seems that 1987.5's are just later 87 models with a couple of 'fixes' among other things. Do I fall under the category of "point five" owners? =P
