You can. If you go to big with the IC, the lag might get excessive.

I'll see about the so-called 'lag' you guys are refurring to. I ordered a greddy fmic for my car.

On a side note, my Saab has a fmic. total piping length from filter to engine is about 7-9 feet of 2.25 inch piping. My saab has almost no lag.

Lag has more to do with the turbo's A/R size than anything else. If you have two turbo's, one with an a/r or .7 and another with an a/r or 1.2, the .7 will be much faster boost up time, where as the 1.2 will be much slower. The .7 a/r turbo will die out at a very low RPM, like my saab which has max torque at 2200 rpms. The 1.2 a/r turbo will give more upper power right up to redline due to much less back pressure at the turbine manifold. A large turbo with a large A/R on a small engine will be very hard to spool. A large turbo on a small engine with a small A/R will spool quickly at low rpm. Stuff after the compressor is not an extreeme factor for lag time in my opinion.

tII turbo's have an A/R of 1.0. If you are thinking of getting into any custom turbo setup, fmic setup, intake setup, w/g setup, then go buy the book 'Maximum Boost, by Corky Bell'. Great book. Read it in 3 days and dont like to read.

well it really is common sense, a IC is just like a rad, all u need to do is hook it up properly and have a place to hook it up to.
