So I had a stroke of genius

While out to my 88 gxl, bone stock, i went to start it for its bi-weekly winter run. Got in, battery dead, ok, no big deal, its been friggin cold around here. So i grabbed the booster box set it on and turned it on, opened the door, no interior lights.....uh oh. Went back to the booster and sonofB, i hooked them up wrong, shut the booster off and swapped them around and still no interior lights. I checked the fuses under the hood except the 80A, could figure out how that came out. But i was starting to get cold and closed her up.

So, main question is, where should i start my investigation? I'm gonna look at the fuses inside next this weekend, but i have a fear it won't be that simple and was hoping for some extra ideas

Thanks guys

the 80 amp comes out by undoing the 2-10mm bolts located on each side of the fuse block.
That fuse is bolted in as a "safety" so your engine wont just quit while running. It can't get loosened unless you undo those 2 bolts.
You may want to also check the Engine fuse in the interior.
If you look at the FAQ SEC Gen thread you can find the LID of the fuse box that has the corresponding fuses marked,so you can identify where the fuses are located.

You probably blew the "room" fuse inside the interior fuse box.

You guys nailed it, was the main fuse, she fired up. I still don't have interior lights though. I'll check the inside fuses in a month or so when i'm gonna pull the car out and do some work on it. At least for now i can still fire it and let it run and warm up this winter

Lucky you didn't crisp any of the wires coming off the battery lol. Happened to me once before except I just hooked up the pos and neg cables on the battery backwards. Spent so much time swapping alternators, checking fuses, etc when my brother later discovered the cable to the starter was fried. And yes lots of sparks ensued when I did this. (this was on my gf's old dodge neon lmfao).
