So i guess my 88 is an S4.5 . . .

Some things about this car boggle my mind completely
S4 '88 GXL

s5 taillight cutouts
doors have speaker cutouts
transmission case is ribbed (for her pleasure) and has the taller 5th gear

the car is (or was until i started modifying it) unmolested no body mods or anything so what do i have a paritally s5 chassis or what?

just weird

Most later production 88's are as you have Static. The different top gear happened in 87.5, the speaker cuts outs I have seen in cars as early as 8/87 production.

and all FC trannys have ribs... Don't know why anyone thinks they don't or that only Turbo ones do.

okay, to make it more clear, all FC trannys have ribs.

The bell housing is not the tranny.

For ribs we are talking on the transmisson.
