SO i am new to this car, I have some questions...

Alright, So I am new to rotary's and recently got a roller chassis and am wanting to pretty much make it a street car with 400-500hp (Turbo, obviously)

I ve had and built turbo cars before, I understand all that, I ve built fuel system for cars before, and have a lot of tuning knowledge, all that is good, I just don't know much about this car, and where to get parts for it at.

now, the questions I have, are Where can I get some Suspension, and Drive line parts for the car.

the car is a roller ,so it has no engine or trans. Where is a good place to picked up a used engine, or even just the housing, and rotors? I am assuming diff. rotors have diff. compression than others, what are the ones I would want to look for for my Goals?

thanks for the help in advance.

Look in the classified section here on the forum's main page for engine, suspension, other parts, ect... Also look in the vendor list and browse their website for new parts and services...

As far as rotors:

Series 4 (S4)(86-88): You have NA or Turbo Rotors
NA higher compression, turbo, lower compression

Series 5 (S5)(89-91): Same thing as above, they weigh less than the s4 though. S5 NA is higher compression by a few points, don't know about s5 turbo rotors though.

As far as what you would want, the EASIEST route would be to drop in a complete turbo II (TII) engine and tranny since you have nothing in it right now. You also want to make sure the engine is coming out of the same series rx7 as you have right now or you will have to deal with a lot of wiring, most of the time it isn't worth the trouble unless you are going to go stand alone and rewire everything.

Since you will be buying a TII engine and tranny, you will want to look at the differential you have in that roller right now and see if it's an NA or TII rear end, if it is an NA you will have to either switch it out for a TII (stronger by the way, bigger ring gear and stronger halfshafts) differential with driveshaft, or you will have to buy an adapter driveshaft to go from the TII transmission to the NA rear end.

Next is brakes, if what you have right now has 4 piston calipers up front and venter rear rotors on the back you are all set (usually 5 lugs have this).

The suspension is up to you, you can either go coilovers, or shock/spring combo.

Hope this helps.

Yes we have a section just for that, on the main page of this forum there is a stand alone EMS section, subcategory: megasquirt.

By the way here are a few vendors to get you started:

Banzai Racing
Corksport
Racing Beat
MazdaTrix
Rx7.com

Oh and you can also put a JDM TII engine if you want, it will fit fine, just make sure to match the series with your chassis.
