So frustrating. please help.

ok so my car has been super frustrating lately, and heres the latest batch of weird stuff. please not i tried searching but that proxy error thing is being a problem, as well as my dsl company being retarded. Went to hook up my new boost gauge today, never having done this before; i realized that i dont know where to hook the nylon line to; ie which source. Its not just anyy vaccum line is it? because i didnt think that would make sense. The other strange thing; my car was having a surging/dying problem and i had looked to my tps sensor to be the problem. I had unplugged it, and then plugged it back in later (with no driving while unplugged). When i had re-done it, the problem was gone and i only had a slight low idle (ie 5-600). Today when messing with the boost gauge i had the intercooler off and notcied that the harness to the tps sensor was unplugged! Was my car running fine with it out????! help would be great, im super overwhelmed right now as it seems my car needs more and more help while i still have no job. thanks.

Tee into this line. Its the line that goes to the pressure sensor. The pressure sensor is on the passenger side shock tower. I teed into that line about 5" from the intake manifold. I also used that same line for the BOV. Both the BOV and Pressure Sensor recieve their vacuum/pressure from The Intake Manifold Pressure. Your boost gauge recieves its reading from the intake manifold too.

Heres a pic.

i think you can for a short period of time ,, i have read about people who dont have it hooked up . i would try cleaning out the "bac" or see if its even working as well as try and adjust the tps. i had a surging idle and i adjusted the tps fairly close to 1 ohm and the car smoothed out and the idle got alot steadier. that is the direction i would try with that .. also you might wanna check for the ever so popular vaccum leak. if you have a can of carb claner shoot small amounts near possible openings and if you get a raise in rpms ,, then you have located your vaccum leak.

now that i look at it i think the tps just came off when i pulled the intercooler off (the tps harness not the whole sensor). One more question, are there any lines i can use to tie the boost gauge into on the right side (if ur looking at the motor from in front) of the motor? right by the oil filler neck there is a wire harness and it looks like some vac lines around it? could i use those? thanks.
