So close.....Yet so far

Found a 87 2 by 2, ,emaculate condition. Only thing wrong is the pulsation dampener. He only wants 500 bux, i gave him 100 bux to hold it, but he said only a month, so i left with trying to make 400 bux ina month, and my job will only give me weekend hours.

But i must have it, I WILL HAVE IT !!!

If you find the screw loose of the PD, gently screw It back In and put a dab of Silicone RTV at the end of It. Heck, you could even do with out It. Remove It and put a bolt at the end of It.

it just tries to even out pulses in the fuel delivery (thus why it's called a 'pulsation' dampner)

umm don't put the screw back in... that doesn't stop the leak. if it's out, or leaking, replace it.

Sure It will. But you'd have to dab some Silicone at the end to prevent the screw from finding It's way back out to eliminate further leaks.

Just buy a new one. Theyre only about $125. Protect your investment. You can wait a few more weeks to drive it. ****, Ive been waiting 2 years. But I want everything to be right this time around, unlike last time, where I blew my motor.

as I posted.. do not put the screw back in if it's out. replace the whole PD. the screw does not stop the gas from comming out... it's not a plug.
the screw is to help prevent the rubber from cracking and breaking. once it's broken, the rubber will leak weither the srew is there or not.

if the screw is out, the ruber might still be ok. you could put the screw back in, and it might last forever, or it might last a week... not worth it. 100's or 1000's of rx7's have burned to the ground because of the PD
