well for starters what is the piece on the firewall side of the throttle body that coolant goes thru and has a yellow plastic piece with 2 vacuum line coming off of it ? and mine is clogged solid from the car sitting for 6 yrs i guess??? but anywho i just left the one coolant line open on the top of the throttle body and the one under the throttle body that goes to the top off the housing so now it runs straight from housing to water pump housing

That yellow plastic thing is the thermowax assembly; it raises idle when the car's cold. Leaving it unconnected will leave the fast idle cam in the high-idle position (check here for more). I forgot about the thermowax when I replied above!

Why don't you just fix the car properly? The water thermo valve (presumably the clogged part) is cheap and easy to find used. The 90 degree coolant hose can be a bit annoying but again it's cheap and replacable. Maintaining that hose means you get the proper coolant flow to the thermo valve, thermowax (cold start assembly) and BAC.

Usually people block the EGR and ACV, but those who block the BAC usually put it back. Without the BAC the ECU has no way of compensating for loads (see the idle systemn overview for more details).
