Smoking while idling, not when driving

87 TII with 101k

2k on G Pop hybrid turbo

When driving normally the car runs perfect. Good AFR's, solid power.

If I idle the car for more than 20 seconds it will start blowing a ton of blue oil smoke. When I drive the car it goes away within seconds. Oil pressure at idle is below 30 on the stock gauge....not sure how accurate they are, but oil pressure is good otherwise.

Could my OMP be stuck for full throttle? I tried to run the car under high vacuum loads down hills and it will not make a puff of smoke...only when idling.

Did a compression test and had three even bounces on both rotors. 91psi in each

You have a mechanical OMP, they almost never fail, just leak like a siv.

How old is your turbo? If it runs good, and only burns it at idle, the only weird object in the system would be turbo

Except for one, make sure your vapor lines going into the oil filler neck are not plugged/melted/destroyed

Turbo is freshly rebuilt about 2000 miles ago from G-Pop. I'm going to pull the down pipe off tomorrow and check for oil, could possibly be a clogged return line on the turbo. It really has me stumped.

Plus now the car quit idling....

sounds like the turbocharger to me, check the drain, or possibly it may need a restrictor on the inlet as well
