Smoking question, but different.

Blah, blah, blah my car smokes like a bitch, etc, etc. I've noticed something REALLY odd though! After the car warms up and it is shut down, smoke still comes from the exhaust, not much, but some. Sounds like I have a leak of oil somewhere and there must be a nice puddle of it still cooking...

Anyone else ever encounter this?

Oh, and it still smokes after at least 5 minutes of sitting there, maybe longer... didn't stick around to watch.

What color smoke? Oil seals? Is it a turbo or NA?

It's white/blue - does not smell like coolant, coolant levels are fine and I haven't changed them for a while, so let's rule that out.

It's a 90 gtu N/A. I know oil is leaking, since I went through ~2 quarts in about 500 miles. I just wanted to run my problem past others. My guess is an oil seal, or a really whacked OMP.

The oil is not leaking externally.

I really do appreciate any insight.

It won't be the OMP. The OMP's pressure is way too low.

Yeah, wasn't sure - thanks for clearing it up.

There's gotta be a nice pool of oil sitting *somewhere* for it to even burn after the car is shut off.

Most likely going to need a rebuild now...

Good thing you mention that...

I changed the plugs the other day, they had oil built up on them.

This all started happening after a drive home from work, my car just went to **** and the only way to keep it going was revving it up to like 3k rpm and let off of the clutch slowly.

It happend at pretty much every stop.
The oil pressure seems fine though.

Sorry to bring this up but I ran a search. Anyways, my car smokes just a little at idle. Is this normal?

Oh, it needs an oil change soon too...
