Hey guys, I have a rebuilt n/a ported engine with 8,000 miles on it. My car doesnt smoke unless I let it idle, then it smokes pretty bad, and its a gas smell. Sometimes when I start it up it will smoke alot then clear away. It starts good and runs good. I also notice that there seems to be gas getting into my oil thinning it out. Im thinking its my primary injectors. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks.

 

Did you install bigger primaries during the rebuild?

Premix or OMP?

 

omp, thats the thing, i dont know what the guy did. I changed out the secondary and seemed to make some difference. so im going to change out the primaries this weekend.

 

If you've still got the OMP on the car, check the linkage rod (from he throttle linkage down to the metering pump) for freedom of movement & full travel...

 

Try some sea foam, it works wonders!
