It doesn't matter which lights you use, just don't get stupid with the tint and end up with dangerous lights. Taillights are supposed to be functional, not decorative accessories.

Get whichever lights you like the most and/or can afford. Better yet, join a club that lets you pick how your car looks...

hIGGI: What is with the backup light on those? Are the European S4 tails normally that style? (no, I don't mean the tinted stuff, I mean how the backup light is smaller, down to 1/8th the size of the lightable part of the tail).

Truespin88, Given the nature of the "longated" Euro License Plate, one would deduce that they would have to shrink the lights in order for every thing to fit

Those are tinted with "bumper coating" from Wally-World. I then polished it with Mothers Plastic Polish until it was a VERY thin coating, and applied clear coat to protect it. The lights are still visible from WELL beyond legal limits (NZconvertible already gave me the 9th degree on that ) The secret to doing it, if you do, is to get a VERY thin coating, and make it very reflective. The thin coating will allow the light to still exit well, and the reflective part will help them to appear darker then they are. Kind of like mirror tint. Dark from the outside, but lets a lot of light through.

Edited: my dumb *** can't spell...

are you neer a hobby store? if you are, ask them if they have Pactra model car paint. pactra makes a "window tint" spray paint. it works pretty good! i use it on my radio controled models. and of course the thicker the paint is the darker it will be. just a thin coat will be like 30% tint film.

As I said in my post, I got it at Wal-Mart.

You could use the Testors stuff (model car stuff) but you'd need an airbrush to put it on well. Well, that or an aerosol can version, but that would be harder to get the mix right on.

As for the emblems, I had them made from 3M reflective vinyl. I'm an anti-chrome person. They're actually silver (white) and reflect at night (just like a street sign, same material). I used to sell the emblems on here... Sold all 15 I originally made (extras). If you wanted some, I can give you the files I used to make them, and you could have them made (about 15 bucks for 10 of each "Mazda" and "RX7").
