Smoke..............when Engine Hot!!!
Lots of smoke when engine is hot, no smoke when it's cold??? Could it be a turbo seal? Anyone have a cut away view of the turbo on a TII?

My car does it. Its the seals in the turbo on mine. The real tattle tale was oil residue in the compressor housing. Check it out on yours. The turbos on these cars arent invinsible. They go out all the time and the older our cars get the more you'll find with blown turbos.

always let the turbos cools before you shut off the engine (which shuts off oil flow, and thus cooling, to the turbos)
its a little too late now, but it might keep hte problem from getting worse

So what would cause mine to smoke when it's cold but clear up after a mile or two and quit for the rest of the time I drive it? A bright white smoke. I also get maybe 2 or 3 backfires for the first mile or so also. I always give more than adequate warm up and cool down time. I have noticed oil spots under the car, no air pump and hollowed cats also.
