Smoke and High Oil Consumption 87 TII

Hey, so I own a 1987 Turbo II. Within the past 6 months my car developed a problem with consuming oil and smoking like crazy. It began as a plume of smoke on redline shifts and has now turned into filling my driveway with thick oily smoke on cold starts and still blowing a large plume at redline shifts. If I hold a rpm above 4k for a little while it will start to spew smoke. When I shift at high rpms it smokes when I reapply the accerator, but not before. My oil consumption is very high. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas, I was thinking oil control rings or turbo seals on the hotside.. I'm still fairly new to turbo vehicles and haven't had a chance to pull my exhaust off. Any advice is appreciated! Oh and I'm not blowing any coolant. Thank you

Your oil control rings can be toast and not blow coolant.

First step should be a look at your plugs, compression test, and look at your i take to see if its covered in oil

Yeah compression was still pretty good, used a normal compression tester with the Schrader valve out and it was 95+ on both rotors, no oil in intake to speak of. I guess what I was wondering was if there was any way
to pinpoint oil control rings or not. I'll check plugs

If your intake is clean along with your plugs, time to rebuild/replace the turbo
