smoke from exhaust. turbo? engine? premix?
Ive been puzzled lately about some smoke coming from my exhaust. It looked white so at first I was thinking it was coolant from the engine, but I havent been loosing coolant. So im having trouble trying to pinpiont where it is coming from. ANyone got a good way to tell if its from engine, turbo , or premix?
1)I run a little more premix than normal to be safe. I go by the measurements off the bottle, so its not that accurate. But I usually put 8-12oz of premix with 8gallons of fuel. Would that make my exhaust smoke?
2)I just got my turbo rebuilt by a shop, but I have heard stories of people getting smoking turbos from him. I put a 1/8" oil restrictor in the turbo, but I will install my 1/16" one soon
3)My engine? I hope not. Im not a Rotary guru, but Ive been read a few stories.
The smoke coming out is not very ecessive, but I can see it coming out at idle when I look at my exhaust tips. Rarely I can see it from my side or rear view mirror at a stop light. It happens sometimes. Any help is great. Im trying to find a way to narrow down my problem. Im pretty sure its not my coolant, my level stays the same. I cant smell it though because I have 100% water right now, but I will be switching soon. Sorry so long of a post.

Up here in the North East it has been around high 30s to low 40s. Just about cold enough to cause the steam from the moisture in the exhaust. Is it only on startup for a minute or so and how cold has it been getting where you are?
right now its been as hot as can be here in southern CA. Realy hot.
It doesnt smoke right on cold startup, but a little after, when I can see my water temp raise, but not at full operating temperature. After its at full tempurature it still smokes, but very little
