WHenever i go to tahoe or reno , about 150miles in to the drive if its a hot day, smoke will start coming out of the center console and like behind the stereo. Somtimes the over heat needle gets up about 3/4 of the way if i'm doing like 100-120 up a hill. Or on a str8 away for a long while. But it ussually only goes up less than 1/3 of the way. Could it be my transmission or some wires under the center console melting? My dad says the the transmission will over heat if i go that fast. any ideas?

 

HAHA This happened to me once ... Freaked the **** outta me... It turned out to be exhaust leak... Just tightened the exhaust and header and all that and it went away. Farking scary if you ask me.

 

maybe a leaking heater core? but I think the exhuast leak is your best bet.
