smoke from center console.
 

WHenever i go to tahoe or reno , about 150miles in to the drive if its a hot day, smoke will start coming out of the center console and like behind the stereo. Somtimes the over heat needle gets up about 3/4 of the way if i'm doing like 100-120 up a hill. Or on a str8 away for a long while. But it ussually only goes up less than 1/3 of the way. Could it be my transmission or some wires under the center console melting? My dad says the the transmission will over heat if i go that fast. any ideas?

HAHA This happened to me once ... Freaked the shit outta me... It turned out to be exhaust leak... Just tightened the exhaust and header and all that and it went away. Farking scary if you ask me.

maybe a leaking heater core? but I think the exhuast leak is your best bet.
