Smog Pump

I live in Kansas and we have no emissions laws. I've decide to remove my smog pump. Before I go tearing **** apart, is there anything that I need to know. Like is there a special plate I need to block off an opening.

1. Pull off air pump and all it's hoses
2. Pull off air control valve, cap 3 vac lines going to it
3. Remove split air pipe
4. Fabricate or buy block off plates for 2 & 3
5. Tee into boost sensor line for BOV vac line (or is it the other way around?)
6. Replace cat with straight pipe (important)
7. Install twin pulley belt on alternator to stop belt squealing (it will)
8. Readjust idle speed and TPS
