Small tear in top, how to fix?

I did this last year, and it has worked so well I have delayed putting my new top on.
(it is ready to go, in my garage)
Sew the tear together with nylon thread. Use a curved needle and a thimble to push it through. you can get the stuff you need from a boat supply store to repair sails. It is not important that the sewing is neat.
Then you seal it with a high quality, color matching silicone seal. No leaks and hardly noticeable.

Duct tape man, Duct tape Work for EVERYTHING Duct tape is your friend
BTW I meant using it on the inside nto the outside like I've seen doen B4.
