Small parts identification

Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of replacing my drivetrain, since the engine bay is empty it is the time to go through all the parts in it and replace what is worn out.

While cleaning up the driver's side frame rail I found this hose connector, does anyone know where it belongs?
It is too large for any vacuum hoses or stock sized spark plug wires.

Where did it come from?

The following part comes from the jack cover, I need to replace the broken one.
A part number might help, but if anyone has one, please contact me, thanks!

The next part go to the wiring harness, where they belong is what I want to find out.

The last parts I want to find out where they go are two different size pull ties.
Any idea which one goes where will be appreciated!

You see the slide on attachment points which mean they go to a bracket somewhere.

Thanks!

The rubber pieces are on the wire harness by the alternator, one on the wiring close to the power steering and one on the battery cables as they enter the battery box. Some of the others could be from the areas where there are actually bolted in harness support, like near the battery, close to the spark plugs and along the frame rail. I am currently working on that section. The two Rubber peices that don't have the ridges are to a bracket that hold together the two oil cooler lines.

The hose clamps look like the cable hold downs for the hood release cable. Mine are white though. I don't have those if that isn't it.

There are three different sizes releasable tie wraps, all are NLA as far as I know. Those do not mount to the body or frame, they are loose and are in random places to hold cabling in place. If someone has a part # and availability, please let me know. The local Mazda dealership was super dismissive when I was asking for parts for our cars, more or less saying, there won't be many if any available parts. All the while, me know that some parts are easily available. These tie wraps he actually laughed, saying I have pictures and numbers but it's really old.

I have no idea of the part number for the jack cover hold down.

I can post pictures if needed too.

if you looked it up for a newer car, like an ND miata, you can come up with a part number. they are like $15 each though

Hi,
If you can post pictures of where the parts belong it will be appreciated.

One of my inquiries is the hi mount bracket on the driver's side shock mount, it is for the spark plug wires. Any idea what goes there would be great.

Thanks!
All these little details make for a better restoration!

These peices of rubber for the wiring harness are taped in place. I just finished adding 4awg to mine and forgot to tape them in place.

The first is near the air pump and alternator. There is a hold down attached to a bolt on either the air pump or alternator.

The second is near the solenoids.

There is a mounted tie wrap on the oil filler neck area. And second tie wrap for spark plugs I am assuming, mine was cut. During cleaning the filler neck ones were removed and added back on again. The top and the side tie wraps could be swapped. The harness might go one the side, not the top. The next two spots have bendable tabs and no rubber.

Next is the one attached to the starter.

Then one attached to the frame rail.

One unmounted tie wrap and a rubber peice to hold back the wires for the oil pan.

There is another peice of rubber and a non attached tie wrap to hold back the power steering and a/c rack wiring. It is there to keep the wires away from the belt/pully.

I don't beleive the car when I bought it used the top bolt on the shock well. I actually have an extra part that I am at a loss where it goes, Hopefully it is in that spot.

One of the best is in the beginning. The overflow bottle is in the whell well in that one though.

Thank's for the pictures, they show where things belong!

I found some mountable ones online. Unfortunately none were 140mm long. Those were the ones I needed the most. I settled for a non releasable 140mm with an 8mm mount hole size. I needed 140mm releasable 7mm mount. Many tie wraps marked as releasable, including the ones that I ordered, are not releasable at all. I sent back two or 3 sets before I gave up.

I found some as I get started on the other side.

One to the left of the one near the air pump/filler neck.

One on the air box near the sensor.

The top of the passenger wheel well has a flexible clamp. Chances are that the extra one I have floating around, goes on the driver side.

Wire holder on the main fuse block

I think I found where this clip goes.

Here is a picture I came across that might be it.

It looks like the leading spark plug wires with a covering going to the hi mount bracket on the shock tower.

I am refinishing the bracket that it attaches to, rusted too much.

I also might have a picture of the proper pull tie that goes with the high mount bracket.

I think a rubber insulator might go with it?

What do you think?

I think that you have been incredibly persistant with your work on theis car so, kudos to you.

I never saw the connector on the fuse box before.

Whatever was on the high spot on the wheel well would need to be change or modified without major hand tools. I beleive mine is what I posted above although, I could be wrong. I seemed to have misplaced it somewhere.

I have some more.

This one in the bracket.

One on the frame rail.

And last but not least.... the one that broke my brain a bit. The top one that you were looking for..... finally.....

I thought that this piece went here. I second guessed myself, never test fit it and lost the other part that I thought actually went here. I might be out of useful things to say or do now, in this thread.

details matter

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your input!

This is the Hi mount bracket with a pull tie.

It looks like the pull tie is one of the slide on types I pictured before.
I came across a pull tie that has a push through type of connection that I think is the correct one for this bracket!
Now I have to see if there is a wire protector thingy that was also used around the spark plug wires along with the pull tie.

See that piece of tape to the lower right of the bracket, it covers a sizeable hole in the fender well! Instead of a piece of tape I would like to put a push in clip like the other unused holes have installed. Anyone have a part number?

Now here is a picture of the passenger side shock tower.

The top wire holder is for the wire branch to the right.

The rubber wire grommet just below the top wire holder goes between the two horizonal tab on the lower bracket.

The curved wire holder on this bracket goes around the wire harness just above the grommet holding the wire harness in place.

My harness seems to have shortened over time and it is a bit tight getting it to fit!

That harness guide on the left of the picture, I need to find out what goes there, sometimes what's obvious is not correct.

Please let me know if I am mistaken on any of this!

Another bracket to identify!

Hi everyone,
This bracket was on one of my two dynamic chambers, does anyone know what it supports?

What hose does it support?

The throttle cable!? isn't it a bit too large to hold the throttle cable?

I was thinking of one of the hoses or tubes on this side of the dynamic chamber.

Oops! You are so correct, I need a memory upgrade!

Thanks for the ID!
