Hehe you're not that young. Give yourself 1 year of rotary experience and you will know a hell of a lot.. age doesnt matter so long as you are dedicated to your rotor

Hey! My fucktardic bad advice was CLEARLY labelled as a joke, and my bias was intended to be clearly laid out as unreasonable! :p

While I may not have been helpful until he got to the part about the rear lights not working, that doesn't mean my intentions weren't good...

Seriously, Mura.. if your dash lights (other than warning lights) and your turn signals don't work, and your tail lights don't work, those could all be tied into a failure in your turn signal (or possibly something upstream of your turn signal). Of course, it could also be really just one of many symptoms of a larger electrical problem. But if the power seems to be getting to the turn signal switch properly, then you might try picking up one off a junkyard or someone parting out their car, if you can get it cheaply.

I don't think that will help with your crazy engine problems, but it may help out with nighttime driving safety if the problems aren't interconnected.

As for doing what you want with your car, jhammons01 is right-- don't feel obligated to listen to internet fucktards like me... but then again, doing something for the sake of "being different" implies you're ceding your free will to what other people are doing/thinking right from the get-go. Doing something for the sake of comfort/convenience, though...

But I'd get your current situation diagnosed/straightened out first before worrying about possibly throwing good money after bad with this vehicle.. (talking about transmission/engine swap)

To clarify... I don't mean to continue on my self-mocking tirade against automatic transmissions with that comment. I mean that if you want a J-spec TII & auto tranny, this particular FC that you currently have may not be the best choice to put it in depending on the source, nature, and abundance of problems it may have..

Sorry, I didn't see the sarcasm.

I was worried that there may have been a deeper issue and fun and jokes may not be appropriate. For instance what if this guy only has one leg????? Hence an Auto may be the only option to drive a sports car.

22 Years old is not young (well not really but it seems so young to me). H4Inf said give it a year........that is right

I'll be able to take pictures later on today....hopefully. But a much better description, it's connected to another connecter, to which, the wires from that connecoter is mixed in with a whole bunch of other wires(all together they make a fat wire), which lead straight into the right corner of the car. With these fat wires leading into the right side of the car, if I were to look inside my car under the sterrig wheel, these wires lead to all of my eletrical system. The end of the wire seems as if it's going to the tranny. The color of the wire has a bronze like tint to it.

From reading other people problems and reading their desciption, I've pretty much figured out what part of the car they're talking about....somewhat. I'm still learning.

Mech - The only thing I can hear is the noise of the turn signals. As for the TII thing, that'll most likely be WAY down in the future.

Double post since i have to wait 30mins to edit.

Edit: Short but good news. I forgot to mentioned this as well. The previous owner put a 100 amp fuse in the Main block that required an 80 amp. well, he was tinkering with the fuse and jiggling it, then all off sudden, I had power,, because the seatbelt recoil moved forward and my radio came on. After that, it didn't work again. So maybe it could just be the Main fuse? another thing, the fuse(100 amp) is supposively jammed into the 80 amp box, so it's extremely hard to get out without breaking off the fuse box.

And now the bad news.......they fucked with the main fuse so much that...well, they completely destroyed it. Now I'm going to have to find a new fuse box column....Another day without a car...once again. Anyone know if I'll need the exact same fuse box column?

One last triple post. Came to the conclusion that it was the Main 100 amp fuse. After the fuse was destroyed, I went ou side and jiggled it, and all of sudden, I had brake lights and my blinkers worked. So the whole entire problem was my main fuse, this also caused my battery voltage to jump back up to a good voltage. so eveything works now. One the flipside....that main100 amp fuse has to be replaced, but I have no clue how i'm going to do it, without ordering a whole new fusebox column and redo everything over again. Again, dumb part on my side. I've now learned the hard way, if something doesn't come out easy, leave it alone. I now have brake and everything lights, but I'm sure it's extremely dangerous to be riding around with a messed up fuse. i'm going to be driving it to my friends house, and taking a picture of the actual torn fuse and hopefully not mess anything up. I'll show you the fuse, the wire and the other wires to which I have no clue what they do.

This is the fusebox under the hood, correct?

I'm sure there are a LOT of people with identical fuseboxes floating around that would be happy to get rid of them.

Yea, the fuse box under the hood. I was looking at dDubs parting out thread....I'll continue to look for more parting out threads once I get home from work. Currently, i'm just happy that I now have all my lights working. Now I have to avoid bumps.

Did you know that the main fuse is bolted in place? That may be why it seems stuck. I had the same problem (stuck fuse) and almost destroyed my fuse box, but found the screws just in time.
If your "Check Engine" light is still comming on, you might want to make a code checker to check what codes it's throwing.

Make a code checker? I've never heard of that before. After driving it to and from work, it stopped coming on. But I'm still not satisfied with it not coming on, so I'll not only do a search on this, but if you could explain to me how to make it, then I'll do it. I'm still in the process on fixing the beeping noise problem. What a pain.

ugh, I hate how I can't Edit my post after 30mins.
Double post: I checked the archives and did a search for the Code checker, and the links they had to some pages, didn't work any more. I'll check Mazdatrix for one.

Excellent description, thats just the wiring harness there... what does the other end of the wire connect to ?

Edit: I failed to see page 3 :-)

You said there was a bare wire under there which looked to have burnt, you either should replace that wire or cover it in electrical tape so it wont short on anything again...

That wire got hot for a reason.. .something isn't quite right under there...
