Lightbulb slipping fc

I drive a 91 fc and its been doing some weird things. I'm not too familiar with rwd because of the extra drivetrain parts so i'm asking for a lil assistance. Its acts like it slips only sometimes though. when i hit the gas the tach goes up but mph stays. and when i shift into 2nd it vibrates until i remove my foot from the clutch pedal. I'm thinking possibilities may include: teeth worn off driveshaft? rear axles worn? pinion angle off in rear diff?worn bushings? i would appreciate any help because its me and my girlfriends only transportation at the moment.

yeah, you're clutch is dying. Mine did the same thing not too long ago. replacing the clutch is expensive , good luck.

If your car is near 60/120/180 thousand miles, replace the fluid in it.

Just get a excedy stage 1 clutch kit. Replace the pilot bearing, throw out bearing, resurface flywheel, replace clutch/alighn it, replace rear trans seal, mount starter/harness, mount drive shaft, add trans fluid through the side plug NOT the shifter. Mount clutch slave and shifter, take it easy and break in the clutch at least 500miles. If your going to do this it might as well be done the right way.....am i right? haha Good Luck

LOL felixisgod29x! I wish it was done the right way when the guy that i got my fc from traded me my boosted eclipse. He said the clutch and tranny were both replaced not long before i got it and i'm not seeing that. But again thanks for the help i'm just gonna drive it while i save i have no other choice at the moment.

My 86 NA has 50k miles on an inexpensive aftermarket clutch, with zero problems. The expensive part is getting the old one out and the new one in.
