Question slipping clutch?

Ok so whenever i go in first my car will rev up to about 5500 and ill only be going about 10 miles per hour and then the rpms will lower and im guessing this is the clutch finally catching. Same thing when i shift gears, rpms go up but my speed doesnt until the clutch catches. This is a slipping clutch right? Not something else that i dont realize? And if so, im thinking of getting the ACT street strip clutch. Would it be possible to install this myself? If not how much would it cost to get it installed? Thanks for your help

Its your clutch slipping.

Install it yourself. I can give you a how-to if you need it, but a search should yeild what you need.

Please accept my apology and look for the write-up tomorrow. I was in a gruesome car accident, as a passenger, last night at midnight, and was just released from the hospital now. I am far too tired to write and think properly, so it'll have to wait until tomorrow.

I was riding shotgun in my friend's turbo sprint. we were going 60 mph on the freeway when a Ford Escape moved into our lane, and pushed up against us, causing us to steer off the road. There was a ditch beside the road, 20 feet down, and once we started going down it, the car turned sideways and began to roll. We ended up upside down, with him unconsicous, in the bottom of the ditch, and I kicked out the window and climbed out and called the police. He woke up when I shoke him, and climbed out. He broke his wrist, and I have 4 broken ribs and a nice cut on my eyebrow, not to mention the typical abrasions. Once the adrenaline started wearing off, I started to notice the tingling on my left side, a side affect of a nasty concussion. Unfortunately, the ambulance thought it was a broken spine, and put me on a stretcher. I've spent last night in the hospital unable to remember my last name, birthday, the date, etc etc, and spent most of today with follow up exams and a catscan. Fun, huh?
The Ford didn't even stop. I hope the police find him.

I'm just glad it wasn't my FC. Bones heal, brain damage is just an inconvenience, but the loss of a S5 TII would be unbearable.
