Interesting thread as i was thinking about getting some slicks to run on the street but not to go fast around corners but to get traction in a straight line. Building a 4g swapped colt and should put upwards of 590-630 to the front wheels. With anything over 400 wheel hp in a gutted 2000 pound (give/ take a few pounds) shitbox doing 40 rolls trying to do them in 2nd gear you burn out alot so you have to start in 3rd but then alot more brake boosting, rpm's are lower, takes longer to open up so there for you have to play catch up or just do 60 rolls. So i was thinking about getting some tires that are used for circle track or super modified's putting some lines in them and seeing what they would do. what do you all think? heres a link to some tires i was looking at and a link to the hoosiers dave used on the evo.

The only thing i got out of this thread so far is if you need Rcompound tires on the street you shouldn't be driving, not going to be a good day in any water circumstances(duh) and you wont be able to get the tire any hotter than a street tire...
Well you really aren't going to get better traction on the street....
I have a few friends that run on the streets and the ET's are the best tires they have found, if you need more traction go to the track.
