sleeves removal question

Okay so I decided to remove my 5th and 6th port sleeves. Seems really easy, but I'm stumped on how to get the front sleeve out of there! I was wondering if there was any 'trick' to get it out or do I just have to yank on it with every tool I have?

what do you mean?
do you have the lower intake manifold off and are looking at the sleeves and they are just stuck?
if thats the case they should come out fairly easily, just wiggle them and work them out w/ pliers

Lube it with ATF, let it soak, rotate it out, repeat..

niner, yes I have the lower intake manifold off, and I got the rear sleeve out, but the front one wont budge. I might try the ATF thing, that might work.

hm.. I'm holding a sleeve right in front of me.. i bet you could lock a pair of pliers onto the bar the control rods hook onto to get a good grip.. But don't be too harsh on it.. the last thing you want is a busted sleeve stuck in there! spray some wd-40 or something up in it and let it sit overnight..
