Sleek Headlight for the FC
Sleek Headlight for the FC
ok so here it goes i am sick of seeing all these half finished threads on sleek headlights for the FC so i am making my own set out of some projector lenses from a subaru and FG and some lexan sheeting.
no as of now i wont be selling them so dont ask!
to start i am building mock ups out of cardboard which dont look to bad considering.
it will take me awhile to get these done since i have no money but i want sleek lights for my FC that dont cut in too the bumper.
i did all the measurements and there is tons of room to fit 4" projector in there
the other guy who was making these lights said you have to cut the radiator support, he is right i cant see anyway around it but if you look closely its really no big deal at all. but to be safe i am going too fabricate up a bracket to fit there.
as you can see here there is tons of metal holding it all together so cutting that top piece is not a problem

here are some more pictures of what needs to be cut and the metal that will still hold it all together

Now i have a cardboard mock up of the drivers side that i just built (they will be made of FG and lexan like i said above but these give a slight idea of what they will look like)
from above

here it shows that the light does not fit right because i did not cut that piece of metal

from the front

also showing that the light does not quite fit do to not cutting the metal

thats all i have for now till i get some fiberglass and the lexan
any better ideas or input
around the projectors will be rounded so it gives it a smooth look

"In the pictures it looks like I will have to cut the bumper but I wont have too because when I cut the metal of the radiator support it will all line up with the hood and bumper"
Sorry is that better
I know i hate it. Its been almost a month since i started but i got let go from my job
where i had access to all the paint and air for my paint gun.
I want wide fenders anyways and a N/A aluminum hood so i am not to worried about those but the rest is so sad
.
you can see i started priming it. it makes my sad

I love my magnaflows though. oh so loud.
When i start my new job I am going to get some better wheels too
and my family bought me tanabe lowering springs for my birthday
oh well.
