quick question reguarding spark plgs idle etc

Last year i was working on my car and changed my sparks without realizing i did it wrong up until today. can someone verify this , T1/L1 is the front rotor ? stupid me, i had t1 and t2 on the rear rotor and L2/L1 for the front. I assumed L1/L2 somehow meant "left" and the t was japanese for right. well i am new to this **** and learning as i play.

also, would misplacing the spark plugs result in backfiring/hesitation and slow revving? i think i solved it.

Well the previous owner of my car completely butchered the spark plugs... put the trailing plugs in the leading holes, and vice versa. Then proceeded to hook them up to the wrong coils...

I set it right, but I didn't really notice any change in the idle or anything.

EDIT: Yes, the front rotor is '1' while the rear one is '2'. L1 is Leading, which goes on the bottom hole of the front rotor, while T1 is Trailing and goes on the top hole.

Mixing up the lower LEAD plug wires hurts nothing at all. Mixing the upper T1 and T-2 did your engine no good at all. Not a good thing at all.

L1 and L2 fire at the same time, so no harm there. But T1 and T2 do not fire at the same time and that's not good to have mixed them.
