sky rocketing to 5k !!!!!?

Thumbs down sky rocketing to 5k !!!!!?

i had my car sitting all night and all day .... during the day i put those light up windshield washer nozzle things ( b/c my nozzles were cracked) and i didnt disconect the neg battery cable like usual but i didnt see n e harm in it... i connected the light up nozzles to both front turn signals...... THEN....
I GO TO START THE CAR AND MY CAR TURNS ON AND SKY ROCKETS TO 5k!! never to come back down.....
what did i do ? car ran good when parked last night...
did i burn a relay or something??
please help !!

It's got to be mechanical. Check over the cable and throttle body good.

There's a good reason they always have the battery disconnect as the first step.

If you didn't let any smoke out, or even if you did I can't see how the light circuit would be tied into any engine management features. The plates have to be staying open somehow.

My car does that on cold starts sometimes, give it a few and it should come down, if not tap the throttle, if that doesnt work put in in gear and try driving.

Sounds like you dropped something on the throttle body and the plates are stuck open.

hehehe i knew id get a lil flamed !!!! lol i dont like em either but i like the chrome part of it ..... not dull 15yr old black rubber u know?? n e ways ....
i didnt even touch the tb with air from my mouth... lol im dumb but nothing got near the tb or cable ... i figited with the throttle cable and nothing.... i even tapped the gas when starting up and all it did was go up in rpm's then go right back down to 5k

weird predicament im in.....huh? never heard n e thing like this before!!! ill take off the tb elbow and see what i got??
n e more input guys?? it would sure be appreciated..

See if the pedal adjustment came lose and moved the pedal to the floor.

weird but it kind of fixed itself... i started the car in reverse... and it still sky rocketed but i started to drive in reverse and it took like 10 secs but it kinda jammed itself loose or something(tb plates) just my guess

dude, my tII did the same thing, its the throttle cable, mine went up to 6k ... iw as like uhh wtf... and all this white smoke was pouring out of the exhausts.

paint em black. led nozzles are rice.

i dont even have nozzles on my car. if my windows are dirty ill clean em at the gas station.
