Are you looking for blueprints or something? You may want to check with Mazda or Mazdaspeed for that information. If you are looking for just base dimensions, then maybe if you were more specific somebody will know the measurements or may be willing to throw a tape measure on some parts in order to help you out. Just asking a very generalized question about dimensions is going to get no responses, as you may have noticed.

let me put it another way that may be easier... i want to start to build a locost (lotus super 7 replica) in about a month, however, before that, I want to make plans, etc and modifiy the original design. now i was wondering how wide to make the front end in order to fit the engine in... now I would have the engine as thin as possible, so if wires and such are what are sticking out, then that can be routed to behind the engine... etc. you know where I am getting with this... anyway, also, i want to know how far back the tranny is from the engine to know the dimentions i need to allow from the engine bay to where the shifter hole is... thanks a lot and sorry if i'm confusing!

Ok, I measured the spare block I had sitting around, don't say I never did anything nice for you people.

These are quick and dirty measurements, I errored by 1-2cm in the larger direction for each measurement.

Engine block: 53Wx62Hx51L
this is the basic block, not including exhaust manifold, power steering, a/c, motor mounts, or flywheel/clutch

Tranny: 40Wx36Hx88L
Measured at the bell housing, not including shifter or clutch slave cylinder

All measurements are in centimeters. Enjoy!
