Since it has been hot outside my car is having trouble starting..Please Help!
Since the weather has warmed up my car has been struggling to get started. It sounds like it is a slug when I first turn the key, it turns over but it is really low and sluggish then it picks up and starts to get higher like it is about to start and then it fizzles out. The way I get it to start is I flip the kill switch so it can't start and then I turn it over then flip the switch again and try like 2 or 3 more times and usually then it starts but each time it is getting harder and harder to start. Today I wasn't sure if I was going to make it out of the Boston Billiards parking lot. What could be causing this problem, the only thing that I have changed mechanically about the car since the problem arose is I switched from 10W30 for winter to 20W50 for summer, could the thicker oil really affect my car? I was wondering if it could be only mildly flooding but because the engine has never flooded I don't know what that even sounds like. Please help this is becoming an ENORMOUS pain, and the fix would be fantastic to hear! Thanks you guys!!!

Haven't we ALL heard this
Check the voltage you are getting at the starter during the start. Compare that to the voltage at the battery. Maybe you have bad starter power cables.
you said the engine turns over slugishly. That doesnt sound like an engine problem. Maybe a weak starter.
