Buy a compression tester. Remove the EGI fuse. Remove a spark plug, screw in compression gauge.

Normal compression gauges hold the highest pressure on the gauge until you press the release valve. So, what you'll need to do is hold the valve down with your finger, while someone else cranks the motor over. What you're looking for is 3 even pulses: 1 pulse and 2 very small (or none) pulses means an apex seal is blown.

Replace spark plug, and do the same for the other rotor.

I'm not sure what "normal" numbers are, but that's a good way to find out if an apex seal is blown using a normal compression tester.

FSM in sig.

Using normal compression gauge, see above...

The overall procedure is in the FSM, engine chapter.

This made me laugh, then cry a little inside...

9)

let out on the valve now, and let the tester reach an overall compression value for all 3 faces(highest of 3 will be displayed). 115+ is like new, 100-115 is healthy, 90-100 is getting weak(1 year or less in most cases) below 90 could blow at any moment.
Since when I did the test, I had 60 PSI....either it was done wrong *PLEASE* or I'm seriously lucky that my car is still running.

This was around 7 months ago.
