Simple compression test?
So I was told from someone on here I could do a quick and easy compression test by removing one spark plug from a rotor and rotating the engine to listen for swooshes.
So I tried this and here were my results:
1st rotor near the front of the car, made 1 swoosh sound then made 2 whistle sounds.
2nd rotor near the firewall spun over and over without making a sound.
I think I read some tricks to revive the seals to maybe get better compression, anyone know?
I have 3 weeks to get this car running and if I have to I'll tear down the motor and rebuild it (but hopefully not).

With luck, it is just stuck seals.
This can happen if the car has been parked for months.
You want to loosen the carbon & varnish accumulation gummed up in the seal grooves.
A high detergent lube like Marvel Mistery Oil or automatic transmission fluid works.
Squirt it in the leading plug holes & crank the motor some to work it in, then repeat.
Let it sit a day.
Then do a compression check.
