how about the post-silencer for the N1? It's a thing you jam in the tip and secure with a bolt. Knocks a good 15db off the noise....

This is a pic of the silencer for the Apex GT series. Basically the same piece for the N1.

Look for a used one! That's what I did. Lots of folks buy em, wanting more performance, but end up hating it cuz they are sooooooo damn loud! I paid $250 for mine, and it had less than 2k miles on it!!

twin XR-1s, tho a little expensive
He is not talking about the silencers you bolt in the mufflers, he is talking about the ones you weld in, like has been already done on RB exhaust.
I do not know where you can get them, but XR-1's would flow perfectly and do you task quite nicely.

Nice mufflers... I have one as a pre-silencer.
Well.. straight through is the ONLY way to go with 7's... since exhaust pulse velocity is KEY.

A lot of people havn't yet discovered that resonated exhaust tips (at 30 bucks each) make a HUGE difference in the deepness and mellowness of the sound.
I got some Hooker ones from Jegs, and just sliding them on smooths out the sound a LOT- very nice.

Yeah, that's what I was saying. Use the XR-1's as presilencers to his N1's. He needs two XR-1's since he has true dual N/a.

Borla racing muffler, flows extremely well, and deadens sound. Works great as a presilencer.
Borla XR-1, check the summit catalog if you got one.

Which would be better? The RB Presilencer, or the Borla XR-1? The cost is simular, so whichever is better suited. I plan, once I get the exhaust (I'm getting it all at once) to remove all the things associated with emissions (except for WHATEVER peice is responcable for making the exhaust NOT smell like gas {fill me in if you know}) So that little... thingy (highly technical term)... coming off the presilencer is not needed. <rant rave rant>

Which is quieter, XR-1 or Presilencer. And what makes your exhaust smell/not smell like gas (problem with many people running full aftermarket xhaust)

Liquid, rotaries run rich in the mid range. The ECU is preogrammed to do this. It is a failsafe to help prevent detonation. Now, I would assume the XR-1 would be quiter than the presilencer, as the XR-1 is a muffler, and the presilencer is is just that, a piece of tube w/ some steel wool in it. Who cares about sound levels? Pissing off grannies w/ your exhaust is half the fun!!
