signs of life

so I went ahead and bought my new fuel regulator that my friends suggested I buy. I put it on and cranked the car and..................nothing not even a sputter of it trying to fire. Now i was starting to get pissed and sent my girlfriend to the store to grab me some new pluggs and as soon as I put them in It fired right up smoking the whole neighborhood for a few minutes it was beautiful, but that was short lived. After leving it running for about 3-4 minutes i realized that one of my primary injectors was spraying fuel all over the place and I had to kill it.

At this point it was too late to go and get a new o ring so I just took the one off of the old regulator and changed it, and you would think that I would now have a running car but no. Its acting like it was before It will fire but die as soon as it started. Ive looked for vaccume leaks and see none, besides the car ran before I did change the o ring, Im to the point where I'll put the old o ring back on and strap a bucket under it to catch the excess gas just so I can drive it.

Sounds flooded. Search for the procedure to unflood the car. Should fire right up, that is after you've fixed all fuel leaks.

Why did you swap FPR's?
What was wrong with the old one?

Maybe this note should be in the FAQ:

Anytime you're working on the fuel rails, have a spare set of injector O-rings on hand before you start.

Feel the rail socket for any stuck pieces of O-ring when you pull out an injector.
Rub a dab of oil on the O-ring when installing it.

If the rails are over 10 years old, consider replacing the pulse damper.

A small fuel leak fire:

A bad one:
