I'm pretty sure my side housing is leaking oil. It sprays oil everywehere whenever i drive it, i won't be positive until i hook up my camcorder and go drive it. It only leaks when its driving, strange huh? So what do i need to replace and how much? I'll do the labor myslef, another option is get a whole new motor. Where is a good place to buy rebuilds from? I'm finnaly going to go boost.. I just needed an excuse.

 

What side are you leaking oil on?

It's not odd to be leaking oil when the engine is under load becaus the oil presure is higher then.

Well, it's never a NORMAL thing to be leaking oil, but what I'm asying is the pressure is low at idle, so it would make sense that the oil leak happens under load.

Things that leak frequently:

o-rings under the oil filter pedistal

oil lines going to/from the oil cooler.
