so about a week ago i came home for vacation and i decided id take my 89 for a spin since i hadn't seen it in a year or so. well it cranked no problem and it had plenty of power when i pulled out on the road, maybe a half mile later it just shut off no bucking or anything. the electronics where still on it just wasnt running, so i cranked it and it wouldnt start. so ive check the fuel pump and its running, and i have spark. any advice would be much appreciated!

 

You could have a loose or poor engine ground.

 

Did you solve your problem? Was it a fuel issue?

 

Is the tachometer responding when you crank it? Check the engine fuse under the dash. 15amp to the right of the power steering fuse.
