make sure to spend the extra time to tape and paper everything that you don't want to get painted. Also use Evercoat Gold lot better then Bondo. If you have a Westco paints near you go there and just tell them that your in the AutoBody program at what ever Community College is near you. You get a very nice discount on everything.

Ahhh... I'll try that when it's time. Also, how did you paint your FC (material used?)?
The car doesn't look so good for someone that "knows" about painting.

if you saw it when I bought it, you would say that was great. I'm no where ready for paint. i still need S5 front bumper, jdm lip, t2 hood, molding, time, money, and a paint booth to work in. I'm not touching the stock paint till I'm ready to go full out and just work on it. like I said its better then it was when I bought the damn thing back in Nov. It had a fairly thick coat of primer dust on it and 20 years of oxidation. It sat in a paint shop for 2 years. Plus I'm not to worry about the paint yet. Moneys on it is going to better things first like exhaust, rims, and I'm still thinking about converting it to right hand drive. So I'm holding off on paint. I'm just satisfied that I'm not driving it looking like red primer. I don't have my shop that I had set up at my old house any more and I don't have anywhere to shoot my car or I would of painted it for temp. by the way any one need Black PPG Amuni paint i'm sitting on almost two gals. its a freebie before it goes bad.

There are 2 or 3 versions of those mirrors. I had a set and you can't see JACK **** out of them. Luckily it was in a convertible, thus I could simply turn my head and look behind.
I would not recommend them for a daily driver, though. There's not much that looks better than the stock s5 mirrors. They look better than the aftermarket mirrors made for most cars.

ZOMG.
tell me thats royal maroon metallic...
i love your car.
my car is an original royal maroon car, but after the arctic silver aluminum hood, sunrise driver's door and quarter panel, mismatched S5 bumpers, and body work covered with primer and such, there is very little original paint left... (the hood, bumpers and bottom half of the car is satin black, so the color looks more solid than it actually is..) ive only seen one clean royal maroon TII, but thats been so long ago, i only remember i liked it.
