Should I use this on my leather seats???
Should I use this on my leather seats???
Hi guys,
I found this stuff at the store and used it on my work boots, works great, goes on easy, all and all very good.

Here is the question, would this be bad to use on my leather vert seats? They are dry, cracked and ripped from 20 years of use and this stuff really put the moisture back in my boots. Any complications? I have already tried those auto care leather cremes with so real improvement.
Thanks in advance,
-Max

Thanks Toyo. I didn't really mean to use this particular product on my seats but some brand of Mink oil. Do you know a good brand or have any recommendations?
Thanks again,

Your seats won't be very breathable after using that stuff, since it waterproofs.
www.zaino.com has some great products. Dunno personally how good their leather stuff is yet.

My TII leather seats are cracked, but no tears or rips. I have a friend that has done shoe repair for a living for 20+ years and he's going to mix up some leather dye to match my seats. All I have to do is work the dye into the cracks, buff it, and next day I can go over it with Lexol conditioner. Voila!
Racing seats suck for road trips. If you have leather seats that you are worried about, chances are you don't do a lot of racing that warrants racing seats.
Also.. Chicks hate racing seats. They don't have the same comfort and "wow, I'm totally gonna give this guy some poon tonight" factor.
Just things to consider when faced with stupid propositions like "Get racing seats!"
I was about to say Lexol, but I see the RotorWiki already has that one covered.
If you're leather is REALLY cracked and wrecked, the best place to go is to a tack shop (horse equipment store) and ask what they have in stock. Most tack shops will carry Leather Therapy conditioner, that's probably the best stuff to use if you're willing to spend a few bucks
It's still cheaper than Leatherique, tho.
