The integra is about as cool as a V6 mustang. Only slower.

damn I didn't think so many people would reply in such a short period of time. To answer your questions/etc:

1) For those of you who don't know what an Integra Type-R is; before the Mazdaspeed came out, the ITR (Integra Type-R) was the best handling FF car.

2) An Integra GS-R or any other integra has no comparison against an ITR

3) I DO love my TII but the few differences that I listed are important to me.

4) ITR's were made/shipped to North America and just because I am considering a Honda does not make me a ricer.

5) I could not care less about how hard a TII pulls on an ITR or how LITTLE torque an ITR has. The fun begins when you approach the first turn
Personally, I think people who make RX-7's 1/4 mile cars are wasting the car...same with ITRs.

Also, getting a winter beater (because Canada is cold) is a pain. Having a year round driveable car is more practical/easier (along with the 4 seats).

Thanks to everyone for their replies, I will most likely keep the TII for the next little while and when I save up enough money, move onto an ITR.

And for those of you who expressed interest in my car, keep me in mind because who knows when a good deal on an ITR will come up

But remember:

You are not buying the car, I am selling it to you, so I reserve the right to turn down any idiots who plan on stripping & raping my S5 TII from its pristine STOCK condition.

Thanks again everyone.

Hey I'm glad you guys love integras so much. Just go sing their praises in the integra forum so we don't have to look at them.

i have been autocrossing for about 7 years and I just can't get used to the handling of a FF car. just don't like it.

I wouldn't drag race either car personally. You have some valid points Reflux. I choose a pretty S5 TII tho

Quaid you ***

I can't take it anymore...and I'm, spent.

I'd go for the Inegra Type-R IF your not into working on your car all the time, etc. All up to you in the long run....not dushbags like...nevermind.

wow....a lot of misinformation in this thread. It's actually kind of scary since I thought a lot of the members of this site were knowledgable about other cars as well as the rx7.

Some facts for the honda-challenged.
1. The ITR is definitely sold in America
2. I've seen them go mid 14's bone stock.
3. With bolt on's and good driving you are in the 13's all day long
4. They are very reliable
5. One of the best handling ff cars - period.
6. Shines on an open road track
7. Good gas mileage
8. Huge aftermarket

before the turbo II I had a gsr. It was a really fun car that I could beat on daily and it would only come back asking for more. I thought about the ITR, but just didn't have the funds, although a 97 could be found for 16.500 in good condition. If what you say is true then maybe the ITR is for you. Now if you could have the ITR and keep the s5 t2...that would be perfect

Man Marcus you are killing me! Its spelled -Doucebag-. But I do agree with you the inegra type R is a fine car but the -ITEGRA -is even better.

Oh Christ, I hardly ever mis-spell words. Your presence set off a negative vibe to my keyboard and caused it to do wierd things.

P.S. Dushbag looks cooler. hehe..

I'm sure "you've seen" a ITR hit low 14's, I'm sure it's possbile. I'm just going by the spec's I've seen, not what Joe Bob's, sister's, cousin saw his Dad's Vanawagon run in the 1/4 mile. j/k

If you would take a car that ran 14.0 to a drag strip then you are alot braver than me. Because you would feel real cool surrounded by 9,10,and 11 second cars.

S5 TII. It may not be as reliable as an ITR, but it sure looks alot better and definitely has more "soul".

I wouldn't sell my car for anything, well, I would take an even trade on a TT 300ZX or FD.

Not all cars at the strip run ******* 9-11's man...not sure where your from. Its not like your taking your car on a NHRA day to try and enter. You obviously are either very unaware or 10...which one?

Quaid.
or was that integra??? or Itrga or rag? I quess I don't know cause I'm not in the Honda forum!

Hey Quaid! what's your problem? if you don't like the integra... it just shows how closed minded you are. it is one of the best handling fwd cars period.
obviously you're not on a honda forum! the words RX7club.com should tell you that. (it's at the top of the page in case you didn't see it. the question was asked by Reflux. if you don't like the topic don't post.
yeah a turbo rx7 is faster than a stock ITR. no one argues that. but I don't see too many stock N/A rx7's running a 14.8 quarter mile. have you?
besides the ITR was meant for road racing. that's where you take a corner instead of going straight. that's what the ITR's are known for. Why is the ITR here in America? cause the gsr's were great for road racing too!! Integra's are about corners not straight line speed.
why do people make them fast? cause it's a challenge!!! why try to make an N/A fast!! it's slow as ****!! there are lots of reason's for buying cars, don't **** on people cause they like a different car. if your head wasn't so narrow you'd learn to appreciate all cars and how the break barriers.

haha..haha..hahaha..oh that was funny...

My motor blew up the 2nd week (many reliable rotaries ofcourse, I just got one that had been driven by a Grandma and had excessive carbon bulid up causing apex seal failure, 2) I had it. Electrical problems, always messing with adjusting sesnors, finding idle problems, etc...this is going to be a problem with ANY older car...but theroetically, the rotary just requires more frequent fluid flushes, etc...no valve adjustments and all that fun boinker stuff. But rotaries DO REQUIRE more work than any other car I've had from what I've seen..I got her running like a beauty now though.

P.S. I was exaggerating with the laughs..

Quick Reply: Should I keep my S5 TII or get an Integra Type-R???
